Wheat Ridge Scavenger Hunt

In August, Localworks coordinated the 2020 Wheat Ridge Scavenger Hunt. To complete this photo scavenger hunt, participants explored Wheat Ridge and found some really neat stuff, including public art, murals, urban farms, great local businesses and more! A big thank you to all of the participants. If you want to explore the submitted photos, follow the link below.

Costumes and Pumpkins and Scarecrows… OH MY!

This year to help our community celebrate Halloween, Localworks is hosting several contests — an individual costume contest, a family/group costume contest, a pumpkin carving contest, and a scarecrow decorating contest. All entries need to be family-friendly. Please submit a photo of your entry by Tuesday, October 27 at 5pm to programs@wearelocalworks.org. Localworks will post all photos on our Facebook, and the community will vote for their favorite. Winners will receive a gift card to a local business.

Community Coffee Break

Take a short break and virtually meet up with your friends and neighbors for a quick cup of coffee (or tea). Every Wednesday at 10am, Localworks will host a 15-minute Community Coffee Break. We’ll chat about a specific topic (see link), share resources and get some much needed social interaction. Below is the link to the registration form*. These community chats will be held weekly. Please join us as often as you’d like!

Everyone in the community is welcome to attend. Please help us spread the word about this program by sharing the registration page with friends and neighbors. See you on Wednesday!
