In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks. — John Muir

This warmer weather beckons—it’s time to get outdoors, spend time in nature, and get active! We know that being active is great for your physical health. Evidence shows it can also improve your brain health and overall mental wellbeing. To that end, we invite your participation in these upcoming fitness opportunities that also help you connect with your community.

Fitness in the Park: June 8, 15, 22, and 29; 9 – 10 am at the Green on Ridge at 38. See the class descriptions here.

The Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL) Committee, a collaborative effort of Localworks, the City of Wheat Ridge, Jefferson Center for Mental Health, Jefferson County Public Health, Jefferson County Public Library, and Lutheran Medical Center has many great events planned. Learn more at ci.wheatridge.co.us/heal.

Gather your family, friends, and neighbors and get active!

Warmly,

Krista Lewis, Executive Director
