Spring has returned. The Earth is like a child that knows poems. — Rainer Maria Rilke

Happy Spring!

What better way to usher in this new season than by enjoying longer days, warmer weather, and nature's rebirth with friends and neighbors? We have got two special events planned in April and May intended for you to do just that!

Our Live Local program will present a Lawn Games Night on April 27 in partnership with the Everitt Middle School PTA. This event is designed to connect the community with active, healthy fun.

Following the success of our Progressive Dinner tour last fall, Localworks is pleased to showcase several of Wheat Ridge's garden centers with a Blooms & Brunch tour on May 4. This is a perfect opportunity to inspire your green thumb while sampling local brunch fare.

Details of these events are included below and on our website. Hope to see you at one or both!

With gratitude,

Krista Lewis, Executive Director

Lawn Games Night

Join us Saturday, April 27th for an evening of lawn games. The Everitt Middle School PTA and Localworks have partnered to provide the community with an evening of fun, including giant chess and Jenga sets, cornhole, frisbees and hula hoops. Plus, enjoy visits by the Wheat Ridge Police Department, Jefferson County Public Health and What's Up Dog Food Truck. Attendees are encouraged to ride bikes as the venue is just off the Clear Creek Trail. We'll be there rain, snow or shine!

This event is part of Localworks' Live Local Program — a series of social and active events to help residents live locally, support local businesses, get to know each other and encourage a more enriching and healthier lifestyle.
