Later this week, we have our first in-person events since the onset of COVID-19. We are so excited to see our community, and we are committed to finding safe ways to interact. If you plan to join us at either the Movie on the Ridge and/or the TLC Clean Up Day, please thoroughly read the guidelines below. Our top priority is the wellbeing of our community!

Wheat Ridge Bingo
Wheat Ridge Bingo has begun, but it's not too late to join in on the fun! This game of Bingo will take you all around Wheat Ridge. To reach Bingo, you'll need to complete actions such as ordering food from a Wheat Ridge restaurant, attending a virtual or in-person event, purchasing an item from a Wheat Ridge retailer, visiting a local park and more. When you've hit Bingo, you'll email your completed card to Localworks. Each household that gets Bingo will be entered to win a $25 gift card to a Wheat Ridge business. Register at the link below. The game ends on July 31. Thanks for playing and supporting your community!

TLC Clean Up Day
The first TLC Clean Up Day is fast approaching! During these events, Wheat Ridge residents and property owners are invited to get involved in the beautification and continued maintenance of their properties and neighborhoods. We will provide trash, recycling and yard waste dumpsters for residents to utilize. For a list of items you can and cannot dispose of at these events, click here.
New COVID-19 Guidelines:
All patrons must remain in their vehicles until it's their turn to dump and they are directed to do so.
Social distancing must be adhered to at all times.
Masks, eye protection, and gloves will be required to be worn by all personnel and volunteers. A minimum of face covering is required to be worn by patrons while dumping.
Patrons will be required to dump on their own and will need to bring help with them for large items as CSOs and volunteers should not be assisting with dumping in an effort to protect the health and safety of our personnel.

Chalk of the Town
Join Localworks and the Wheat Ridge Cultural Commission for our new summer program, Chalk of the Town. This is a community chalk art program that will pair volunteers with Wheat Ridge businesses to create unique sidewalk chalk art in front of businesses. The program began in June and included eight beautiful chalk installations, which you can check out on our social media.
Businesses and volunteers can sign up and choose which month they'd like to participate. Art installations will take place during the week of July 12 and the week of August 9. We will provide volunteers with the chalk, tape and a few easy templates. If you'd like to contribute, you can use one of the templates or create your own family-friendly design. We still need two groups for July and several for August.
Each month, we'll release a list of businesses where community members can find the art. Please follow the link below if you'd like to register to participate.
This August, join Localworks for the Wheat Ridge Scavenger Hunt. This game will take you all around Wheat Ridge. To finish the game, you'll need to complete actions such as going to a Wheat Ridge park, visiting a local business, taking a safely distanced selfie with a neighbor and more. When you've completed 5 actions on the list, you'll email your photo proof to Localworks. Each household that finishes the scavenger hunt will be entered to win a $25 gift card to a Wheat Ridge business. Register at the link below, and you'll receive instructions and the list of tasks on July 31. The game begins on August 1. Good luck!
Take a short break and virtually meet up with your friends and neighbors for a quick cup of coffee (or tea). Every Wednesday at 10am, Localworks will host a 15-minute Community Coffee Break. We’ll chat about a specific topic (see link), share resources and get some much needed social interaction. Below is the link to the registration form*. These community chats will be held weekly. Please join us as often as you’d like!
Everyone in the community is welcome to attend. Please help us spread the word about this program by sharing the registration page with friends and neighbors. See you on Wednesday!
Wednesdays ♦ 10 - 10:15am Zoom Video Call
*Due to privacy and safety concerns, Zoom requests that we do not post Zoom links on public web pages. Therefore, you must register for the event to get the link for the meetings.
