A Note from Krista

“When people talk, listen completely.” –Ernest Hemingway

Localworks is listening…and we want to hear from you!

As someone who lives, works, and/or plays in Wheat Ridge, you are Localworks. We are currently conducting a Listening Tour throughout the Wheat Ridge community so that we can learn what’s important to you. Please take a few minutes to complete this 9-question survey. We look forward to sharing the results with you in the near future.

With gratitude,

Krista Lewis, Executive Director

Volunteer Happy Hour

At Localworks, we love our volunteers! We have hundreds of individuals that donate their time to us each year. From serving on our Board of Directors to working at our events, our volunteers offer their support in a number of different ways. Whether you’ve volunteered with us in the past or are interested in volunteering with us in the future, please join us at this summer’s happy hour. We'll provide beer and wine, and the shops along the West 29th Avenue Marketplace will provide food and entertainment. Hope to see you there.

TLC Wheat Ridge: Clean Up Days

Wheat Ridge residents and business owners are invited to get involved in the beautification and continued maintenance of their properties and neighborhoods with this year's Clean Up Days. Each event will have trash, recycling, and yard waste dumpsters. Please visit our website for the list of what can and cannot be thrown away at these events. Clean Up Days run from 8am until noon (or when dumpsters fill).

Looking to give back to your community? We need two volunteers for each of these events. This volunteer position requires standing in the hot sun and possibly getting a bit dirty as you help fellow citizens lift their items into the dumpsters. We need one volunteer from 7:30am to 10am and one from 10am to 12:30pm on each of the days listed above. If you're interested, email Chelsea Bunker at CBunker@WeAreLocalworks.org for more information.
