Connecting the community with kindness.

We were honored last week to, along with the students of Compass Montessori School, accept the City Council's and Mayor's proclamation, designating February 11 – 17, 2019 as Kindness Week in the City of Wheat Ridge. This was the perfect way to kick off a week-long effort to connect the community with kindness and we hope that the sentiment will continue all year.

As the proclamation states: "…by recognizing these acts of kindness, all members of our community will be made aware of the importance of being kind to others throughout the year."

Please read the full proclamation here.

Thank you to all who participated and shared their Random Acts of Kindness with us. You have truly warmed our hearts.

With gratitude,

Krista Lewis, Executive Director

Live Local: Archery

Channel your inner Robin Hood, and join us for an archery class with Rocky Mountain Specialty Gear. This is a great way to get to know some neighbors and support a local business. No experience necessary!

The cost of the class is $5 per person. If you would like to join us but are unable to cover the cost, please email Robin Baker at

This event is part of Localworks' Live Local Program — a series of social and active events to help residents live locally, support local businesses, get to know each other and encourage a more enriching and healthy lifestyle.

Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy (NRS) Survey

The NRS Committee is looking for your input. Your survey answers will help frame the proposed NRS document and provide recommendations for the City of Wheat Ridge to work towards.  Your survey responses are anonymous and confidential. There are approximately 50 questions, and it will take approximately 15 minutes to complete the questionnaire.

You can participate if you are a resident, you work in Wheat Ridge and/or you visit our city for shopping, dining or otherwise. This survey will close at the end of the day on March 1, 2019.

Grow with Google

Make sure your business shows up online. Help people in your city find you by getting your business on Google Search and Maps. Join Google and the Wheat Ridge Business Association (WRBA) for a workshop to get started. The workshop costs $15 for WRBA members and $25 for non-members.
